Zach | Jordan

This is my first (and frustrating) attempt at some indoor photography. Frustrating because it is a challenge to get the lighting and setting and camera settings just right. I know it will take a lot of practice but I think they turned out fairly well for my first attempt.

These are my nephews...Zach and Jordan...Zach is in his first year of school and Jordan will have his first birthday in just a few days. Not only did I have the challenge of a new setting...but I decided to do it will an almost-one-year-old and a kindergartener in my tiny dining room with 2 rooms full of toys and the Lion King on TV in the room next door...bad idea...but I think we accomplished what needed to be done. :) OK I am rambling...on to the pictures...

{Family} {Family} and more... {Family}

There is absolutely nothing more important than family...and (while I am a little biased) mine is the best. Over my nice 5 day weekend over Thanksgiving (I was VERY thankful for PTO) I got to see a lot of family. The first was on Black Friday (the cute girls in the previous post) to my hubby's aunt and uncle's farm. While getting pictures of their granddaughters...they thought they would model for a few...

and then I got to go to my parent's for a huge feast!! So while my dad was grilling the turkey I snapped a few of my aunt and cousin...and my other aunt and her precious dog {Tess}...

and then just a few other randoms :)

Katie | Ashley

I got to take some portraits of 2 beautiful girls...this is why I love doing this. I love being able to capture a specific moment in time that they will forever be able to remember because of a photo. The love that Ashley has for her new sister Katie was so apparent...and they were both SO well behaved. Such great models.
Their grandparents are my hubby's aunt and uncle...I got to go out to their farm for these photos and the place is magical! Enjoy...

Zach | Lindsey | Taya | Boone

It was nice to have a session with some good friends. Lindsey's daughter Taya is such a doll and did a great job despite the cold weather. And that puppy Boone, he should definetly be a doggy model. I am looking forward to shooting these guys again!

The Stelzer Family | Family Pictures 11.12.11

I am so glad I got to do a family session with this family! With 3 kids and 3 dogs you would think everyone would be all over, but they all did great...and I officially want this kind of dog! Although the youngest wasn't thrilled to be alone in any pictures at first, once she got it down she was posing everywhere! I am thrilled with the way the pictures turned out and I hope that they will help remember this time of their lives. I am loving this photography thing!!!
